Joyce Yuki (Site Code DACA05) Provide revegetation and installation and
maintenance for 16 acres of riparion forest, 16,000 emergent marsh
plantings, and 108 acres of native grasses within a 396 acre
constructed wetlands area near the City of Davis, CA and adjacent to
the Yolo Bypass within Yolo County, CA. Site preparation work will
include minor grading, mowing, discing, and a weed control program.
Revegetation work includes design of planting and irrigation plan,
installing irrigation system, planting Government provided container
grown seedlings, collecting and installing emergent plantings for
bio-tehnical protection, and native grass seeding. Container plantings
will be maintained and irrigated for a period of one year. Native
grassland areas will be prepared and weed controlled for a period of
one year before drill seeding. Offerors are required to have a minimum
of five (5) years experience in wetland, riparian, and native
grassland restoration and revegetation. Offerors must have successfully
completed and maintained a minimum of three (3) similar projects to
qualify for consideration. Native landscapes or erosion control work
are not representative of the qualifying technical experience required
for this project. Also, required is familiarity with riparian,
wetland, and grassland ecosystems, horticulture, design, monitoring,
plant and irrigation installation, and extended maintenance. Offerors
must permanently employ and commit to the project at least two (2)
experienced persons, each with field experience and a 4 year degree
minimum, in one of the following areas: horticulture, botany, ecology,
wildlife biology, natural resource management, range science, or
similar studies with an environmental emphasis. This procurement will
be conducted under SIC code: 0783. The size standard for this SIC code
is: $5.0 million. This proposed contract is 100% set aside for small
business concerns with experience and expertise in riparian, wetland,
and native grassland revegetation and restoration. Solicitations for
this project must be ordered by the CUT OFF DATE of 24 JULY 97 to
ensure receipt of solicitations. Orders received beyond the CUT OFF
DATE will not be honored. There is NO CHARGE for the solicitations.
Because a limited number of solicitations will be reproduced, copies
are limited to one set per firm. Plans and specifications will be
mailed out on or about 31 JULY 97. Requests may be submitted by FAX,
