Investigative Services needed to work under contract to verify claimants' U.S. residency for the purpose of establishing eligibility and continuing eligibility for receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits for the Social Security Administration (SSA). The service area covered under this contract shall consist of the San Diego and National City, California Districts. The SSA official will notify the contractor with the name and address of each residency verification referral. It is estimated that between 70 to 85 referrals will be generated each month. The contractor shall perform one unannounced onsite visit to the claimant's reported address to verify with the claimant that the location visited is the claimant's residence. The contractor shall provide a written report documenting the results. The standard industrial code (SIC) is 7381. This procurement is a 100 percent small business set aside. The period of performance shall be one year from the date of award. It is estimated a solicitation will be issued or about 8/01/97 with proposals due 30 days thereafter.
