for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs will host a
three day meeting of the P-8 Senior Experts Group (Lyon Group) in
Boston, Mass. either October 27-29, 1997 or on three consecutive days
in the first week in November, 1997. The Department expects attendance
by approximately 100 senior personnel from Canada, France, Germany,
Italy, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, the European Community as
well as technical and support personnel from the U.S. Departments of
State, Justice, and Treasury. The Department requests quotations from
facilities in the City of Boston, prefereably in the area of Boston
harbour or Back Bay. This notice constitutes the request for
quotations. No other solicitation will be issued. Facilities Required:
1. Single lodging for each of 100 attendees 2. Available meal service
on the premises 3. One large plenary room capable of seating 100
people. The room shall have a hollow square table accomodating 40
people with additional seatingbehind the table. A podium with a public
address system is required as are 18 microphones to be located on the
main table, two each for each of nine delegations. 4. Two smaller
"breakout" rooms accomodating a minimum of 40 people. Each room must be
equipped with a sound system. Each room shall have a hollow table and
minimum of 10 microphones on the table. 5. A "control" room which will
be staffed by three U.S. government personnel.The room must be
equipped with the following: -- one high speed copier w/collator, --
three desk top personal computers (minimum capability: pentium, 133mhz
loaded with Word for Windows, version 6.0), -- two laser printers
connected to the PCs, -- a minimum of four telephones, -- assorted
standard office supplies (e.g. staplers, paper clips, rubber bands,
etc.) -- 50,000 sheets (10 boxes, 5,000 sheets each)if dual purpose
copy paper 6. Conference break refreshments in a location dedicated to
the Lyon Group, one mid-morning, one mid-afternoon each day of the
meeting 7. The services of a conference coordinator/planner to assist
the Department with logistical and administrative arrangements prior to
and during the meeting. Respondents are required to provide pricing as
follows: -- For item 1, per room/night -- For item 2, illustrative
price per meal (Department does not expect to include the cost of meals
in the order/contract to be issued pursuant to thisrequest for
quotations.) -- For items 3, 4, 5, and 6, a unit price for each -- For
item 7, an hourly rate (standard and overtime, if applicable)
Quotations must identify the three day period offered and are to be
