This is a pre-solicitation notice for Project No. PSXE962007, entitled "Construct Hazardous Materials Pharmacy". Successful contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, services and perform work necessary for the construction of the Hazardous Materials Pharmacy at the Tennessee Air National Guard Base at McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville, Tennessee. The scope of this project is a 2150 square foot facility with a Type IV construction classification, protected with an automatic fire suppression system in accordance with the 1994 SBCCI Building Code. The facility will be utilized by the Base Logistics Section to receive, store, and issue hazardous materials for industrial use on Base. The types of materials include flammables, combustibles, and corrosives. Construction work includes stripping topsoil, cutting and filling earthwork, and constructing a 2150 square foot facility; underground utility work including gas, electrical, water, sewer and communications connections; concrete sidewalks, and asphalt improvements. All work described above is to be accomplished within the compound of the Tennessee Air National Guard at McGhee Tyson ANG Base, TN. Plans and specifications will be available on or about July 29, 1997. A non-refundable certified check or money order is required for plans and specifications in the amount of $100.00 made payable to the Treasurer of the United States. The solicitation itself will be furnished at no cost. Plans and specifications will also be available for review at various plans houses within the state. Contractors should call the Contract Specialist listed above for these locations. The estimated construction cost is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
