Y -- CONSTRUCT LIQUID OXYGEN/LIQUID NITROGEN MAINTENANCE FACILITY SOL DAHA20-97-B-0004 DUE 081597 POC Contract Specialist Brenda Outman, Contract Spec (517) 483-5926 (Site Code W56LS9) PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Project consist of the construction of two structures; vehicle parking; driveways; utility extensions and other appurtenant site improvements. One structure will be used for the maintenance of liquid oxygen (LOX) and liquid nitrogen (LIN) storage tanks and carts. The second structure will be used for the storage of LOX and LIN tanks and carts. The LOX/LIN maintenance facility is approximately 800 square feet in size and includes administrative office space, shop area, and mechanical room. The LOX/LIN storage facility is approximately 1000 square feet in size and is not fully enclosed. The drives and parking areas are specified to be a combination of portland cement concrete and asphalt. Project requires the extension of all utilities such as natural gas, primary and secondary electrical, sanitary sewer, domestic water and communications. The site is partially wooded and will require some clearing and limited grading. A firm fixed price contract award is anticipated. The contractor will provide all plant, labor, materials and supervision necessary to accomplish the above described work. All work is located on the Air National Guard operated area of Alpena County Regional Airport, Alpena, MI. Estimated cost is between $100,000 and $250,000. The SIC is 1542. It is anticipated the solicitation will be available for distribution on or about 15 August 1997. No telephone requests will be accepted.
