Dawson (502) 798-7857 (Site Code DAKF23) Replace four (4) 1500 gpm engine driven fire pumps in Building 7219; replace three (3) 2000 gpm engine driven (natural gas fired) fire pumps in Building 7153; and replace three (3) 1500 gpm engine driven fire pumps in Building 6623. Pumps and piping in Building 7219 and pumps in Building 6623 have tested positive for lead-based paint. Work includes the removal of lead-based paint (LBP) from the existing pumps and piping to facilitate installation of new pumps. Proper procedures shall be followed in the LBP removal process in order to protect workers and the environment from exposure to lead. SIC Code is 1796/$7 million. The estimated dollar range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Award of the contract is subject to the availability of funds. Performance period is 180 calendar days. This acquisition is issued pursuant to the "Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988" and subsequent award will be subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Therefore, this acquisition is Unrestricted; however, solicitation will contain an evaluation preference for SDB concerns.
