notification can be indicated if different from above: National enquiry
point. 3. Notified under Article 2.9.2. 4. Products covered (HS or CCCN
where applicable, otherwise national tariff heading. ICS numbers may be
provided in addition, where applicable): Mud trap holes, grease traps
and oil traps. 5. Title, number of pages and language(s) of the
notified document: Regulation in Respect of Provisions which Deviate
from NEN 7087 and Identifying Sign for Mud Trap Holes and Oil Traps.
Regulation on Mud Trap Holes and Grease Traps. 6. Description of
content: Mud trap holes and grease traps must meet the requirements
laid down in NEN 7087 and the accompanying appendix with the errata
sheet issued in 1992. Mud trap holes and oil traps must meet the
requirements laid down in NEN 7089 and the accompanying appendix with
the errata sheets issued in 1992 and 1993. Since certain requirements
of NEN 7087 and NEN 7089, as the case may be, contravene other legal
provisions, it is possible, by Ministerial Regulation, to submit
deviatory or additional provisions regarding the application of NEN
7087 and NEN 7089, as the case may be. This is the purpose of the
present regulations. The aforementioned products shall in each case
comply with said standards and provisions contained in the Ministerial
Regulations if they have been provided with a quality declaration
issued by a certification body recognized by the Accreditation Council
and an identifying sign designated by Ministerial Regulation. This
logo is designated in the present regulations. The use of mud trap
holes, grease traps or oil traps which have the above-mentioned quality
declaration and the designated identifying sign has not been made
compulsory. It is possible to demonstrate in a different way that the
requirements in respect of these provisions have been observed. 7.
Objective and rationale: Mineral oils in industrial water must be
reduced to a minimum. This can be done by using mud trap holes and oil
traps. Dumping vegetable or animal oils or fats into the public sewage
system must be avoided as much as possible. This can be restricted by
installing mud trap holes and grease traps. The regulations will be
laid down within the framework of the implementation of Directive No.
91/271/EEC concerning urban waste-water treatment (OJEC L 135). 8.
Relevant documents: Article 8.40 of the Environmental Management Act;
Decision of 19 January 1996 concerning the incorporation of provisions
in Orders in Council only based on Article 8.40 of the Environmental
Management Act regarding the introduction of industrial water into a
facility for the collection and transport of wastewater (Bulletin of
Acts and Decrees). 9.Proposed date of adoption: September 1997;
Proposed date of entry into force: September 1997. 10. Final date for
comments: 6 August 1997. 11. Text available from: National enquiry
