WATERS 1997 The following notification is being circulated in
accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif.97.319. 1. Member to
Agreement notifying: NETHERLANDS. If applicable, name of local
government involved (Articles 3.2 and 7.2). 2. Agency responsible:
Commodity Board for Soft Drinks and Waters. Agency or authority
designated to handle comments regarding the notification can be
indicated if different from above: National enquiry point. 3. Notified
under Article 2.9.2. 4. Products covered (HS or CCCN where applicable,
otherwise national tariff heading. ICS numbers may be provided in
addition, where applicable): Syrups, fruit sorbets, non-alcoholic
liqueurs and non-alcoholic aperitifs, as well as, base syrups and
powders to prepare soft drinks. 5. Title, number of pages and
language(s) of the notified document: Group Exemption from Deposit
Regulation on Soft Drinks and Waters 1997 (1 page, available in
English). 6. Description of content: The purpose of the group exemption
is to keep the packaging of syrups, fruitsorbets, non-alcoholic
liqueurs and non-alcoholic aperitifs and base syrups and powders to
prepare soft drinks outside the scope of the deposit obligation. These
products have never been subject to the deposit obligation for soft
drinks and water. Group exemption is granted, provided that the
single-use packaging is not advertised. Also, importers are advised and
national manufacturers obliged to indicate the words "no deposit" on
the label in order to facilitate the logistic handling of the
