Written quotations will be required. The RFQ will be issued on or about
28 July 1997. Anticipated award date is on or about 19 September 1997.
Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform
homepier dockside repairs including, but not limited to, the following
Minimum Items: 1)Hydroblast Sewage and Grey Water System Piping. 2)
Overhaul A/C Salt Water Pump Assemblies. 3) Overhaul Bilge Pump
Assemblies. 4) Overhaul Fire Pump Assemblies. 5) Overhaul Steering
Hydraulic Rams. 6) Overhaul Appleton Marine Electro-Hydraulic Crane. 7)
Renew Sewage Piping. 8) Overhaul Sewage Pump Assembly. 9) Provide
Temporary Berthing. Vessel availability schedule is 20 October 1997 for
21 days. The place of performance will be at the vessel's ISC
(Integrated Support Command) in Miami Beach, Florida. All referenced
documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600,
Norfolk, VA. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small
Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and
specifications will be issued on or after 14 July 1997. All responsible
sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the United States
Coast Guard. This Notice is for information purposes for Minority,
Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of
Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU) has a program to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are
available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum
