This offer is for a Firm Fixed Price Requirements Non-Personal Service Contract. This contract is a total small business set-aside. The Federal Prison Camp in Alderson, West Virginia seeks a qualified organization for the purpose of providing services of two (2) contract licensed practical nurses to the female inmates of FPC Alderson. Each contractor will provide four (4) sessions per week. Each session will be seven and a half (7.5) hours in duration for a maximum of 30 hours per week. Sessions will be scheduled from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is anticipated that one contractor will work Monday-Friday while the second will work Tuesday-Friday. The contractor will be responsible for assisting with patient examinations, clinic organization, and record keeping. Additionally, the contractor will perform filing and other duties to assist the Health Services Administrator and the medical records department. This includes assisting physicians and other medical staff by monitoring inmate movement inside the medical examining and treatment area. The contractor will be expected to independently perform technical procedures such as the administration of routine electrocardiograms, pulmonary function testing, administration tetanus, flu, MMR, and Hepatitis vaccines, as well as other technical procedures such as ear irrigations. The contractor will be required to maintain personal liability or malpractice insurance at a rate equivalent to community standards. The estimated availability of the solicitation is July 25, 1997. The estimated contract period is from the date of award through September 30, 1998.
