This offer is for a Firm Fixed Price Non-Personal Service Requirements Contract. The Federal Prison Camp in Alderson, West Virginia seeks to fill the position of a Psychiatrist. The Psychiatrist will work directly with female inmates incarcerated at Federal Prison Camp, Alderson, West Virginia. Position duties will include but not be limited to, conducting patient evaluations, diagnostic testing, recommend treatment progress, prescribing necessary recommended medication, obtaining written consent authorization before prescribing any psychotropic, anxiolytic, or antidepressant medication, review of PA Qualification briefs, conduct training for Health Services/Psychology staff if requested, recommendations to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee when called upon, and maintain medical privileges to both admit and follow-up patients in local community hospitals. The prospective provider must maintain current licensing and personal liability or malpractice insurance. The scheduling will normally consist of one (1) session per week. A session is define as a time frame not to exceed six (6) hours, or the minimum amount of time needed for the evaluation of a specific number of patients. The total number of sessions is not to exceed forty-four (44J for the contract period. These services will be performed on an as needed basis. The contract period is from date of award through September 30, 1998. This procurement is set aside for Total Small Business. The estimated availability of this solicitation if July 25, 1997.
