The Federal Bureau of Prisons is soliciting for X-Ray Technician services for the Federal Detention Center, 33 N.E. 4th Ave., Miami, Florida. The work schedule will consist of approximately four (4) sessions per week, each session will last two (2) hours, not to exceed eight (8) hours per week. All sessions will be conducted from Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Emergency services will be provided by the contractor within the first eight (8) hours after notification. The contractor will be responsible for the following: written interpretation of X-Rays taken at the Federal Detention Center by the medical staff, including mammography films; contractor will examine, evaluate and transcribe the results of the interpretation on a standard BOP radiology report form; contractor will provide written and/or dictated reports on all films referred for evaluation and will include recommendations for further diagnostic testing. The anticipated period of performance will be as follows: one base year to begin upon date of award through 12 months with four subsequent one year option periods.
