Wolfe, Jr. (304) 285-5883 The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) intends to negotiate a sole- source purchase with West Virginia University/WVU Research Corporation to provide space for NIOSH to conduct a project entitled "Asphalt Fumes Inflammatory Effects and Pulmonary Injury." The requirement involves providing rooms for storage of materials, sole use of three inhalation chambers, engineering assistance in operation of the exposure systems and off hours access to the facility. The project will be conducted over a six month period. The facility must be located close enough to the NIOSH facility in Morgantown, WV, that NIOSH project personnel can maintain daily on-site contact during these experiments. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $50,000. If no organizations express an interest in provided a facility and services comparable to those described above within 10 days after publication of this notice, the Government will proceed with award to WVU.
