day after scheduled bid opening. The work includes providing two
identical buildings, one on Site One and one on Site Two. Each building
will have a footprint of approximately 7,500 SF and will be one story.
The concrete floor slab will be approximately at grade level and will
be supported on concrete pilings, pile caps and grade beams. Exterior
walls will be loadbearing steel studs and brick veneer. Interior walls
will be load bearing and non-loadbearing steel studs. The roof
construction will be light gage steel trusses and a standing seam metal
roof on hat channels. Finishes include paint on gypsum wallboard,
veneer plaster on abuse resistant gypsum wallboard, porcelain tile
wainscots on cement backer board, porcelain paver tile, carpet, VCT,
ceramic floor and wall tile and scored and stained concrete floors.
Ceilings include a gypsum board plenum ceiling, suspended acoustical
ceilings and linear metal ceilings. Windows will be operable aluminum
windows and steel storefront glazing at entrances. Included are also a
complete plumbing, HVAC and electrical/communications and fire alarm
system. Site work includes the demolition of existing paving, new
paving, connections to existing utility lines, grading and landscaping.
Also included as part of the project is the demolition of Buildings 620
and 632. Both buildings are two story wood framed buildings used as
offices. The demolition work includes asbestos abatement. Lead
containing paint is present in both buildings but lead abatement is not
required prior to demolition. Demolition debris can be disposed of at
a subtitle D landfill. Construction shall be phased. THIS SOLICITATION
IS ADVERTISED AS UNRESTRICTED. Estimated cost of project is $1,000,000
to $5,000,000 . Estimated duration of the contract is 546 calendar days
