The Navy has a requirement to lease, with the option to purchase, one each Faired Countermeasures Dispenser (FCMD) capable of dispensing RR-184 and RR-189 chaff packets. Also required are the necessary hardware (fairing and a mounting plate), drawings, and an interface schematic that enables the system to interface with the AN/ALE-39 and AN/ALE-47 Countermeasures Dispenser Systems. The dispenser shall operate on 115V, 400Hz, single phase aircraft power. Provisions of MIL-STD-810D and MIL-STD-331B apply. In addition, up to 200 hours of engineering field services may be required to support the installation and integration of the FCMD on the S-3 Viking Aircraft. Delivery is required F.O.B. destination on or before 15 October 1997 to support a flight test currently scheduled for December 1997. FAR Part 12 procedures do not apply. The Small Business setaside has been dissolved by the Contracting Officer. It is anticipated that oral quotes will be solicited; however, solicitation requests may be made to the above contact point (e-mail is preferred).
