The University of California, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), seeks sources for Delay Generator, Programmable. The National Ignition Facility being constructed at LLNL requires approximately 1600 programmable electronic delay channels of a custom design. Expressions of interest from prospective vendors are invited. Key specifications include timing jitter and stability less than 40 picoseconds RMS. Custom trigger interface is required; triggers and reference clock will be encoded into a single serial data stream input. Triggers will be decoded by comparison of data stream against programmed reference pattern. Construction to be modular (VME preferred) with six to eight delay channels per module. Interested firms should respond with a description of qualifications with respect to the foregoing or related fields. Responses are required on or before August 4, 1997.
