Magee, Contracting Officer, (202)260-6455 E-MAIL: Rodney Magee,
Contracting Officer, Magee.Rodney@epamail.epa.gov. The Environmental
Protection Agency has a requirement for Indoor Environmental Monitors.
These devices must be capable of simultaneously monitoring Carbon
Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, Temperature, Relative Humidity, Light
Intensity and sound. Each device must have the following
characteristics: 1) The device is contained in a single, metal
container with lockable cover; 2) Output file from device must be PC
compatible; 3) Output file must have time and date stamps; 4) Output
file must contain a record of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide,
temperature, relative humidity, light intensity and sound that is
measured by the device; 5) The device must be able to be controlled by
PC or by a device mounted control panel; 6) The device must have
battery backup power for a minimum of 4 hours and must draw primary
power from 120VAC at 60Hz; 7) The device must have four additional
inputs capable of measuring temperature via thermostat couples. Each
device must also have the following performance specifications and
characterizations; 1) The device must contain a carbon dioxide sensor
that can be field calibrated, that can measure from 0 to 5000ppm and
that is accurate to 3% full scale; 2) The device must contain a carbon
monoxide sensor that can be field calibrated and that is accurate to
3% full scale; 3) The device must contain a temperature sensor accurate
to 0.5C and a relative humidity sensor accurate to 3%RH; 4) The device
must contain a light sensor accurate to 5% of the measured light
intensity and must have a range from 0 to 3000LUX; 5) The device must
contain a sound sensor that has a resolution of 1 db and that has a
range of 40 to 140 db. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be
utilized in selecting qualified vendors. Written inquiries may be
