A -- ATTITUDE CONTROL MOTOR (ACM) DEVELOPMENT POC Dianne Trimble, Contract Specialist/Linda N. Bentley, Contracting Officer, (205) 955-1187 The U.S. Army Space and Strategic Defense Command (USASSDC) intends to enter into a noncompetitive contract for Attitude Control Motor (ACM) Development. The objective of this effort is to authorize the contractor to continue execution of its program through the purchase, installation, and integration of special tooling so that a pilot line demonstration of ACM production rates may be demonstrated. Tooling must be capable of producing ACMs which are part number 2-101870-1 and meet specification LMVS-304-PENT-024C. Minimum production rate required of this tooling is twenty (20) shipsets (1 shipset = 180 ACMs) per month. This action is an integral part of an on-going effort in support of the PATRIOT Advanced Capability (PAC-3) missile presently under development. Advanced technology ACMs are required for the PAC-3 missile to accomplish its mission and defeat tactical ballistic missiles. There is no foreign participation allowed for this acquisition. Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), this action is directed toward Pacific Scientific Company, Energy Dynamics Division; however, responses received from interested sources will be considered by the government. All responses should be directed to CSSD-CM-CN/Dianne Trimble and must be received within fifteen (15) days from the publication date of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. See Note 22. (0190)
