R -- RECORDING AND EDITING OF CONSUMER INFORMATION AUDIO PROGRAMS SOL DE-RP01-97CP12078 DUE 081197 POC Katharine Minker, Contract Specialist, 202-426-0095 The contractor will record, edit, and prepare final master tapes of the following programs: 15 five-minute radio shows, 15 thirty-second public service announcements (PSAs) and 10 sixty-second PSAs. Of these, 3 radio shows, 3 thirty-second PSAs and 2 sixty-second PSAs will be recorded in Spanish. The contractor will provide all equipment to record, edit programs, and prepare master tapes. Recordings will take place at DOE Headquarters in Washington, D.C. or at locations in and around the D.C. metropolitan area. DOE will provide scripts, hosts or narrators (English and Spanish speaking) and guests to be interviewed on the program. DOE will also provide a room suitable for recording sessions at DOE Headquarters. Within 5 days after a recording session, the contractor will produce a final edited tape of each radio show and PSA. Every three months the contractor will assemble a master tape which will be used to produce quarterly compact disks (CDs) of the programs for distribution to radio stations. The contractor will develop a campaign to market the audio programs. The contractor will use a U.S. station master list that includes at least ten thousand stations. Each quarter, marketing will be directed to at least 3,000 radio stations from the master list. The contractor will distribute one CD per station by first class mail. Station response cards will be provided by the contractor which the contractor will receive back and tabulate. It is anticipated that this contract will have a one-year base with two one-year options. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 7319 with a size standard of $5.0 million.
