Administration, Eastern Region, requires cafeteria/concession services
at the New York Air Route Traffic Control Center, Ronkonkoma, New York
during the hours of 6:00 AM through 10:00 PM, seven days a week
including all holidays. Service is expected to begin on/or before
October 1, 1997 with four (4) one year option periods. Space, equipment
and utilities are provided by the Government. The solicitation is 100%
set-aside for small business located in Nassau and Suffolk counties
and the five boroughs of New York City (Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten
Island and Manhattan). SIC Code is 5812. Subcontracting will not be
permitted with the exception of the vending machines. Offeror will be
evaluated on the following areas: 1. Reputation and experience in
providing food services for workers in office or industrial buildings
comparable to that described in the statement of work. 2. Finances. a.
Adequacy of budget and accounting systems and procedures, including a
projected annual operating statement for the cafeteria to be operated.
b. Financial Resources. 3. Personnel staffing including the proposed
manager and supervisors. 4. Menu(Pricing, variety based on cyclical
menus, portion sizes). 5. Knowledge and compliance with sanitation
practices as established by the U.S. Public Health Service and
applicable Federal, State and Municipal laws, codes and regulations. 6.
Experience in administering contracts under the Service Contract Act.
Interested small business contractors in the specified geographic
location may request a copy of the Screening Information Request
(Solicitation) by faxing a request to (718) 995-5685, Attention Nadene
Fontano, Re: Cafeteria Project. All requests must be received by July
31, 1997. The SIR should be received approximately one week after the
government receives the facsimile. Contractors assume responsibility
for assuring that they have received the SIR. After that time, none
will be issued and no oral or written communication will be made to
those contractors requesting the SIR late. Offers along with all
required documentation will be required to be submitted by August 11,
1997. All offerors are encouraged to set up an appointment and make a
site visit as specified in the solicitation package. For security
reasons contractors will not be permitted access at any other time or
without making an appointment. The site visit is scheduled for Thursday
