The work consists of paving 14.4 miles of Bald Mountain Access Road. Work includes managing traffic; cleaning & reshaping shoulders, ditches, and culvert inlets and outlets; reconditioning graded aggregate and scarification and pulverizing of existing asphalt roadway surfaces; placing aggregate base and asphalt pavement on side road approaches, turnouts, and Bald Mountain Road; applying a multiple asphalt surface treatment over all new asphalt surfaces; applying fog line striping; turf establishment; and all required testing. Project sites are located in Tillamook and Yamhill Counties, Salem District, Oregon. Project range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Estimated start work is September 15, 1997 and performance time is 270 calendar days. Bonds are required -- Bid Bond: 20%; Performance Bond: 100%; and Payment Bond: 40%.
