Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and materials and perform all work necessary for implementing the closure designs of Hardfills 49a, 49b, 49c, and 49d located at various locations at Griffiss AFB, NY. The closure includes the following actions: Clearing and grubbing of vegetation and trees less than six inches in diameter; removal and consolidation of visible hardfill material; filling of depression left from the removal of the isolated hardfill pile; grading of the consolidated material and visible hardfill material. Excavation and consolidation of isolated pockets of hardfill material outside the limits of the main hardfill areas, backfilling, regrading, and revegetation of excavated areas with clean soil where specified, filling of large voids with onsite and/or offsite materials, grading and compaction to create a relatively smooth subgrade; covering with a minimum of four inches of top soil over a minimum six-inch soil cover that is capable of supporting vegetative cover; improvement of drainage conditions through clean soil fill and grading to a specified elevation; revegetation of the soil cover and the former hardfill pile disturbed area; restriction of vehicular access as specified, and implemenation of deed restrictions as appropriate, installation of a soil berm where specified, and installation of a drainage swale where specified. Contractor personnel must be OSHA trained IAW CFR 29, Part 1910, Section 120, para (e). All work to be performed under a single lump sum firm fixed-price contract. Period of Performance: 18 months ARO. The solicitation will be available o/a 25 Jul 1997. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
