Z -- INSPECT AND REPAIR BOILERS SOL DAKF10-97-B-0043 DUE 082397 POC Sandy Sanders (912)767-1868, Connie Skipper, Contracting Officer (912)767-8468 The Army requires a firm fixed price contract to Inspect and Repair Boilers #1 and 2, Central Energy Plant, Fort Stewart, Georgia. The work includes, but is not limited to: Inspect, measure, and test boiler tubes, attachments, and tube sheets/drums; replace leaking, defective, and thin boiler tubes and tube segments; and repair tube sheets/drums, tube holes, and attachments; replace boiler insulation, cement, brickwork, and metal casing (skin) removed during tube inspection, testing, and replacement operations; or showing evidence of severe cracking or other damage; perform welding of pressure piping and visual and non-destructive testing; perform leak testing and boiler operational and efficiency testing. Performance shall be completed within 60 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. All responsible bidders may submit a bid which will be considered. There is a nonrefundable fee in the amount of $25.00 for this solicitation package. Fee must be submitted with written requests for copies of the solicitation package.
