Bid opening date of 3 September 1997 is only an estimated date. The performance period is 150 calendar days. In general, the work will consist of installation of backflow preventers in the potable and fire protection water services lines to the facilities indicated on the drawings. The work shall also consist of installing double check and reduced pressure backflow preventers at existing buildings. Outdoor installations will require an enclosure. There are a total of 118 devices at 107 facilities. Estimated dollar range is between $100,000 and $250,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid that shall be considered by the agency.
