This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared
in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation
(FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information
included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only
solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitations
will not be issued. (II) This solicitation is issued as Request for
Quotation (RFQ) 230-0039. (III) The solicitation document and
incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular FAC 90-46. (IV) This solicitation is 100% SBSA. The SIC is
3599 with a size standard of 500 employees and the NAICS United States
is 333999. (V) The items called for by this RFQ have been identified
by a brand name. Offers for an equal product (including a product of
the brandname manufacturer other than the one described) will be
considered for award. Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 1: 1 each, A
complete firetube boiler soot cleaning system (Goodway Technologies
Corp. Model SAM-3-530-TS) which operates on 115 volts, and includes:
the punching machine; 2" x 12' hose with sleeve; 18" straight and
3-1/2" x 2-1/2" bayonnet nozzles; tube brush; two vacuums that include
polypropylene filter bags, soot resistant dacron inserts, and 15
gallon bonderized steel tanks with handles and casters; transfer lid
with two vacuum ports for mounting on a Government provided 55 gallon
drum; and two 2" x 6' hoses with sleeves to connect transfer lid to
vacuums. The punching machine shall be a compact and portable unit and
the cleaning tool will be able to travel the full length of the tube
(tube length = 14 feet) while attached to a spring steel tape. A vacuum
hose shall attach to the unit to remove soot loosened by the cleaning
unit; CLIN 2: 30 each, 2-1/2" steel brushes; CLIN 3: 3 each, 2-1/2"
scraper tool; CLIN 4: 2 each, replacement polypropylene filter bags;
CLIN 5: 2 each, Dacron insert bags; CLIN 6: 1 each, steel crevice tool
with quick disconnect; CLIN 7: 1 each, carrying case for punching
machine. (VI) The contractor shall provide delivery of supplies within
thirty (30) days of date of award. (VII) Delivery hours are 8:00 a.m.
to 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday,
excluding Government holidays. (VIII) FAR provision 52.212-1
Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items is hereby incorporated by
reference. (IX) FAR provision 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items,
is hereby incorporated by reference with the following addenda: in
paragraph (a) the government will evaluate proposals in the following
