The requirement has changed from Fixed-Price Incentive to Firm Fixed-Price. The Government intends to purchase five first-article test units at contract award with an additional 45 units to be purchased between delivery of the first five units and the end of the Base Year on September 30, 1998. The additional 45 shall be purchased via an optional Modification to the contract. The Government estimates purchasing 25-180 additional units each year during Optional Years Two and Three via delivery orders. The solicitation package was issued on July 9, 1997 with a closing date of August 8, 1997, and shall appear on the USGS Home Page @ www.usgs.gov (Click on "About USGS") on or after July 11, 1997.
