Office of Research and Development, National Risk Management Research
Laboratory, Technology Transfer and Support Division has a need for
services to update the publication "Environmental Regulations and
Technology: Control of Pathogens and Vector Attraction in Sewage
Sludge", EPA/625/R-92/013 dated December, 1992. The focus of this
project will be to update the original Environmental Regulations and
Technology document with the latest knowledge on controlling pathogens
and vector attraction. This update must include a clear presentation
of the 40CFR503 Standards for control of pathogens and vector
attraction with examples; and it must present approaches for meeting
these requirements. The detailed procedure for making an application to
EPA's Pathogen Equivalency Committee, a discussion of applications made
to the committee since its inception, and the resulting recommendations
of the committee are to be included. It is intended that this document
serve as the primary reference for local,state, and federal regulators
as well as the regulated community for guidance on control of pathogens
and vector attraction in sewage sludge. The period of performance will
be twelve months from the date of award. This is a TOTAL SMALL
BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The sic code is 8742, and the size standard is $5
million. EPA intends to issue a request for a written quotation (RFQ).
The RFQ will be issued on or about July 25, 1997. All responsible
sources may submit a written quotation which will be considered by the
Agency. Requests for the RFQ must be in writing. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS
