The USDA Forest Service, Geometronics Service Center in Salt Lake City, UT and in the Regional Office in Ogden, UT is advertising for ON-CALL and call-when-needed computer maintenance for Intergraph hardware and software. The current automated mapping environment consists of a variety of Intergraph Corporation RISC based workstations and servers. These systems use the CLIN(UNIX)-POSIX operating system with advanced windowing capability. Output is sent to a Versatec electrostatic plotter. Final map layers are output to an Intergraph Mapsetter 5000 or Optronics 4040 film writer. All work stations and servers are connected via a Local Area Network (LAN) using TCPIP and XNS protocols. This maintenance will consist of a base year and four option years. Solicitation will be issued approximately 7/30/97.
