SECURITY ENGINEERING SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF AGENCY's WORLDWIDE
SECURITY UPGRADE PROJECTS. The United States Informa-tion Agency (USIA)
has a requirement to upgrade the security of its missions and
facilities worldwide for better protection of Agency personnel and
property. Contractor performance shall include: PROJECT MANAGEMENT for
security upgrade projects, overall supervision of Contractor
employees, scheduling of projects, providing contact point for
Authorized Representative of the Contracting Officer (AR/CO),
preparation of periodic reports, routine evaluations, and general
contract liaison; TECHNICAL FIELD SURVEY of the project sites to assist
the USIA project officer/engineer with analysis and design, preparation
of design documents and oversight of construction upgrades,
modifications and enhancements to existing USIA facilities, to insure
compliance with Government codes and physical security standards;
SECURITY SYSTEM DESIGN, all engineering required to survey, plan,
design, and review an appropriate security system meeting Govern-ment
specifications and complying with all applicable codes; SECURITY SYSTEM
INSTALLATION, all preparation, arrangements, and technical expertise to
install systems in accordance with USIA standards and applicable
regulations; RADIO SUPPORT PROGRAM, technical expertise to install,
maintain, test and repair a variety of voice and data communications
and test equipment, including HF, UHF and VHF radios (handheld, mobile
and portable), base stations, antennas, repeat ers, pagers,
transceivers, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), power line
conditioners and various ancillary devices operated in the shop and in
the field. GENERAL AUTOMATIC DATA PROCESSING (ADP) SUPPORT and
operational manage-ment of automated project management system files by
using Sure Track (Prima-vera) supporting the activities of USIA's
Office of Security, Overseas Support Division (M/SP). The software and
computer will be furnished by the Government; SUPPORT FUNCTIONS,
logistical services in ac quisition and installation of security
equipment, storage, inventory control, packing and shipping (ADP) and
security mail screener. Selected Contractor personnel require Secret
security clearance. The necessary work shall be performed both at
overseas posts and at the Government facility currently located at 400
6th Street S.W., Washington D.C. 20547. Project administration shall
be performed at the USIA Washington D.C. facility, Type of contract:
Acquisition of commercial services, firm fixed price, indefinite
quantity. Term of contract: One base year with option for four (4)
