Technical Support. The contractor will provide nonpersonal services for
motion picture, airborne instrumentation, still, digital, video
photography; still/digital/ motion picture processing, printing, and
editing; video editing; multimedia maintenance; presentations support;
video teleconferencing; operation of a multimedia library; image
design (hard copy and digital); associated services. All services are
to support the Air Force Development Test Center (AFDTC) and designated
customers. The products and service of the proposed contract are highly
specialized. Support is of a highly technical nature using the latest
state of the art in professional multimedia equipment. All support
provided will be in accordance with professional applicable standards.
The products of the proposed contract are highly specialized
photographic films and video tapes. These include: custom developed
films, timed and edited customized prints; broadcast quality video
tapes, edited masters including special effects, and dubs; highly
specialized and precision maintenance; RDT&E data. The contract will
support internal and external customers. A firm fixed price (FFP)
contract with cost reimbursable line items for travel and property
acquisition is contemplated. The anticipated period of performance
planned includes a basic three-year period with three one-year options.
The proposed product/service Standard Industrial Classification Code
(SIC Code) for this acquisition is 8744 ($3.5 million). Firms
responding to this announcement should indicate whether they are or are
not a Small Business concern or a small Disadvantaged Business concern
as defined in FAR 52.219-1 and 52.219-2. The Air Force reserves the
right to consider a small Business Set-Aside based on responses hereto.
Under 22 USC 2751 and 50 USC, Appendix 2401, it is unlawful to export
items containing export-controlled technical data. Only qualified US
contractors who have registered with and are certified by the Defense
Logistics Services Center, Battle Creek, MI 49016-3412, will be
eligible to receive the complete RFP. This certification process is
accomplished by completing a DD Form 2345, Military Critical Data
Agreement, and mailing it to DLSC. Contractors may call 1-800-35-3572
to check their certification. Written responses to this synopsis must
be received within 21 days from the date of this publication. For
