The Federal Bureau of Prisons is soliciting for Phlebotomist services for the Federal Detention Center, 33 N.E. 4th Ave., Miami, Florida. The work schedule will consist of approximately five (5) sessions per week, each session will last six (6) hours. All sessions will be conducted from Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The contractor will be responsible for the following: blood drawing using standard practices; processing all samples taken, as required by policy; maintain proper logs and good record keeping; prepare samples taken for distribution and mailing to referral centers; maintenance and care of equipment; maintaining a safe, clean and secure work area; maintain the area well stocked with the necessary materials; carrying out and maintaining all Bureau of Prisons and OSHA guidelines. The anticipated period of performance will be as follows: one base year to begin upon date of award through 12 months with four subsequent one year option periods.
