GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Department of Navy intends to issue an RFP for a Controlled Industrial Facility at the Naval Submarine Base, New London, Groton, CT. Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of the following evaluation factors: 1) Price, 2) Technical factors including (a) relevant past performance, (b) technical, (c) quality control, and (d) environmental control. The work includes construction of a controlled industrial facility consisting of a high bay radiological controlled area, a two-story support area, and enclosed storage area, related mechanical and electrical work and site work. Also, the scope of this project requires the demolition of building 91. Estimated cost range is $10,000,000 -- $15,000,000. The SIC code is 1541 and the Small Business Size Standard of $17 million are applicable to this contract.
