This is a simplified acquisition procurement under $100,000. The following is a brief description of the work to be performed: Provide all labor, tools, equipment, transportaiton, and materials to repair Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) system in building 118 to include replacement of 2 foam tank bladders (500 gallons each), removal and disposal of existing foam, replacement of foam with mil spec foam, removal of an 8" vertical check valve and replacment with a 8" horizontal check valve, and flow testing the system. All foam must be removed from the site as to cause no liability to the Government. A formal site visit will be held on 23 Jul 1997 at 10:00 a.m. This is the only site visit. All interested contractors are to meet at Building 113 with the Base Facility Manager, Channel Islands AGS, Port Hueneme, California. SIC is 1799 -- $7 Million.
