760-939-4092 PROCUREMENT NOTICE -- NOTICE FOR SOLICITATION- REPLACE
FIRE PUMPS #1 & #2. The Contractor shall provide labor, material and
supervision to remove existing fire pumps #1 & #2 and install new pumps
to existing drivers, altering the existing concrete base, provide new
piping (suction and discharge) and perform any incidental related work.
Notice to all contractors about Job Walks/Site Visists aboard the Naval
Air Weapons Station (NAWS), China Lake, CA. Job walks/site visits are
conducted on Tuesdays at 0800 hours. Before the job walk/site visit you
must notify the Resident Officer in Charge of Construction by telephone
at 760-939-3297 of your intention to attend the site visit.
Additionally you must comply with the following requirements and obtain
an OFFICIAL VISITORS BADGE. Anyone arriving late or without the proper
badging will not be permitted to participate in the job walk/site
visit, and will be required to reschedule their visit until the next
available Tuesday. There will be no exceptions to these requirements.
To obtain an Official Visitors Badge you must FAX the following
information to the NAWS Badging Office, 760-939-3996, no later that the
Friday prior to the Tuesday visit. Information required: Name;
Solicitation number (N62474-97-B-1896); SSN; Drivers Lic # and state
issued by; U.S. Citizen or Alien Card #; vehicle information, make,
model, year, color, lic plate # and state of registration; date of
intended visit; and area of visit (Armitage Airfield). Performance is
at the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, California. Performance
time is 90 calendar days. potential bidders should request IFB
N62474-97-B-1896 in writing no later than (15) calendar days after
publication in the CBD. The request should be addressed to: Officer in
Charge of Construction, Building 00978, Code 832000D, Naval Air
Weapons Station, China Lake, CA 93555-6100. Tentative issue date is
about 20 July 97 with the bid opening date approximately 30 days later.
The SIC code is 1623, the realted small business size standard is $17.0
Million. Firm fixed price contract. The estimated cost range is between
$25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Please note that the Naval Air Weapons
Station will only accept wirtten requests for bid documents.
PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS SHALL BE CHARGED FOR THE SOLICITATION BASED ON THE
COST FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WHICH IS $4.00. MAKE YOUR
