This solicitation was originally synopsized as F28609-97-B0013. The purpose of this modification is to change this acquisition from 100% set-aside for small business to unrestricted. The solicitation was issued on 30 June 1997. The proposal due date is hereby changed from 29 July 1997 at 4:30pm to 8 August 1997 at 4:30 pm. A preproposal conference/site visit is also changed from 15 July 1997 at 10:00 am to 29 July 1997 at 10:00 am. The name(s) of the person(s) planning to attend the conference should be submitted, in writing, no later than 24 July 1997. A brief description of the requirement is as follows: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervison, and other items or services necessary to perform Military Family Housing Maintenance (MFHM). These services include, but are not limited to, interior/exterior painting, roof repair, floor refinishing/replacement, grounds maintenance, custodial services and pest control. Work will be performed by service calls and at Change of Occupancy. This acquisition is unrestricted. This solicitation is part of a Government cost comparison study to determine whether accomplishing the specified work under contract or by Government per- formance is more economical. If Government performance is determined to be more economical, this solicitation will be canceled and a contract will not be awarded. The proposed performance period will consist of a Base period with three option years. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 1799. This is a first time acquisition for MFHM at McGuire AFB, NJ. Historical data is not available. The Performance Price Trade-off evaluation procedures will be used.
