58 -- NARROW BAND MODEM DUE 081197 POC Point of Contact -- Johnny Ng, 732-532-9782, ext 5423. E-MAIL: Narrow Band Modem, ngj@doim6.monmouth.army.mil. This is a market survey to locate potential sources of supply for a Commercial off-the-Shelf (COTS) Narrow Band Modem with Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) modulation and demodulation capabilities. The government intends to purchase approximately 15 units to support the Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS). The modulation shall support rate 1/2 Forward Error Correction coding. The demodulation shall support decoding formats. The modem must support data rates selectable from 3 kbps to 25 kbps in 1 bps increments. If input/output of the modem is centered at 70 Mhz. The modem shall mount in a standard 19-inch rank. Modem user interface will be single channel serial data. The modem will be installed in a ground DSCS earth termimal complex. It will be empowered from a 115 Vac, 50/60 Hz source.
