FISC San Diego is issuing a notice of intent to issue a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N00244-97-9804. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are thos in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45. This is an unrestricted solicitation, SIC code 5192. The item being requested is as follows: 16,800 copies of "Take Care Of Yourself" 6th edition, by Vickery & Fries with a regular cover, ISBN #0-201-15452-8. FOB destination prices are required. Delivery will be made to Camp Pendleton San Diego CA. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items applies. Addendum to FAR 52.212-1 paragraph (b)(5): offers shall provide an express warrant which at a minimum shall be included in the contract.
