A/E shall have principal qualifications in design and construction general building remodeling including hospital facilities and also experience in designing for energy conservation, building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC mechanical and structural, JCAHO requirements and Life Safey Code. The services of an Industrial Hygenist on the A/E team will be required for asbestos survey and development of removal plans, if necessary, as well as monitoring of the construction phase. Please Note: This contract would re-design an existing construction document, deleting work already being completed under another project. The estimated cost of construction is between $2,000,000- $5,000,000. Joint venture and/or firm consultant arrangements will be considered and evaluated on a demonstrated interdependency of the members to provide a quality design effort. Responses must be received no later than August 12, 1997. A/E firms which meet the requirement in the announcement are invited to submit (two) completed SF 254's and SF 255's (Total of two each) to the person/address identified above. This is not a request for proposal. Selection will be made upon the following factors, respective to the scope as identified above. (1) Team proposed for the project; (2) Previous experience of the team proposed for this project; (3) proposed design approach for this project; (4) location and facilities of working office (s); (5) Cost control; (6) Estimating effectiveness; (7) Schedule control.
