F -- PHOTO INTERPRETATION/RIPARIAN SOL RFQ RMAST-97-180 DUE 090297 POC Contact Barbara Hayden 303/275-5273; Contracting Officer Joe Milburn The Contractor shall draft a set of 7.5 minute quadrangle maps that contain riparian vegetation polygons on the entire Rio Grande National Forest, Colorado, excluding the Handkerchief PA, and riparian and non-riparian polygons within the Poncha Pass PA. The contractor will delineate the effective area on the entire photo set, photo interpret vegetation information for each polygon, and enter all interpreted data on data sheets and in a computer data entry program called PI. The maps need to be suitable for electronic scanning. Field calibration prior to interpretation is required. Field work is required in this contract and could occur over any part of the Rio Grande National Forest, especially the Poncha Pass PA and riparian areas. Recommended contract time is 11 months.
