The Lowry Economic Redevelopment Authority (LRA) is soliciting sealed bids for the construction of trunk utility infrastructure. Location is the former Lowry Air Force Base, Denver, Colorado. Work includes construction of 12,000 LF water lines; 8,000 LF sanitary sewer lines; installing 2,000 LF owner-provided box culvert sections; and installing 7,000 LF storm drains. Invitation for Bids Number (IFB#) 10-BUSC-UTIL is for the LOWRY BUSINESS CENTER LOOP ROAD PROGRAM, TRUNK UTILITIES CONSTRUCTION PACKAGE. This project will be partially funded with Federal funds through the Economic Development Administration, U.S. Dept. of Commerce (EDA Project No. 05-49-02954), and will be subject to all Federal requirements and regulations. The work will be subject to the prevailing wage rates and to the Equal Employment Opportunity requirements established by the U.S. Dept. of Labor. The estimated price range of construction for this phase of the project is between $1 and $5 million. The time for completion of all workis two hundred seventy (270) days after official Notice to Proceed. Bid package (IFB) will be available on or about 07/28/97, with the closing date as stated in the IFB (o/a 08/22/97). DATES TENTATIVE AT THIS TIME. All work on water lines must be performed by a contractor pre-qualified with the Denver Water Board. City & County of Denver Wastewater Management Division standards and specifications apply. Construction drawings and specifications will be available at the LRA offices at the above address; and at 4 Plans Rooms in the Denver/Front Range area. A non-refundable bid document fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) is required for each set of bid documents, checks made payable to Lowry Redevelopment Authority. All prospective bidders are required to attend a MANDATORY pre-bid conference and site inspection visit scheduled for 9:00 a.m. 08/07/97 at the LRA offices. All qualified responsible sources, who are interested and are in a position to satisfy the above requirements, must submit a written request for the IFB to the LRA's Procurement Program Manager at the above address, or fax requests to (303) 343-9135 no later than 08/06/97.
