Hawkins, Chief, Procurement Section, (301)435-0366 The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), intends to o purchase the following brand name only items manufactured by Lightwave Electronics: one (1) Fiber-Coupled Non-Planar Ring (NPRO) Laser model 125-1310-100 and one (1) Power Supply with u processor, model 125/126. The laser must include integrated relaxation oxcillation noise reduction system, thirty (30) dB optical isolator, polarization-maintaining fiber with FC/PC connector and both broad (thermal) and fast (piezo) frequency tuning, a pproximately 1300 nm wavelength, above 50mW continuous power level, less than 5kHz line width, the amplitude noise must be less than -110dB/ (root Hz) from 10 kHz to 1MHz, and less than -- -130dB/(root Hz) at 1MHz and above and all the necessary cooling parts for the system. Responses to this notice must submit clear and convincing documentation indicating that the items proposed are the brand name items required. This requirement is under the standard industrial classification (SIC) code 5047, size standard 100 employees.
