The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia intends to negotiate a sole-source procurement with Apollo Software, Inc., 880 S. Pickett Street, Alexandria, VA 22304 for the acquisition of an Apollo IMS/CDM Host/Remote Telepathology System under the authority of FAR 6.302. All proposals received within 10 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. Consideration will be given to proposals that offer a dynamic system, utilizing a remote-controlled Robotics microscope that has been installed and clinically tested in an actual hospital setting. Additionally, for consideration any offered system shall provide an all-inclusive video teleconferencing capability. All Offeror's shall be required to demonstrate proposed systems at the user location. Proposals that offer Static (non-robotic) Telepathology Systems will NOT be considered. A determination based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
