A -- ADVANCED DEVELOPMENT ENGINEERING SERVICES SOL N00167-97-R-0043 DUE 100497 POC Shawnee Shaw, Contract Specialist, 3324, (301) 227-3451/Contracting Officer, Renee Cairo-Iocco (301) 227-5812 The purpose of the proposed acquisition is to provide engineering, scientific and programmer support services in support of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWC, CD) projects in the areas of target, sensor and environmental modeling. Implementation of modeling may also require computer system graphical user interface (GUI) design and implementation, curriculum development, and training. These projects will be directed toward Navy radar, sonar and optics program goals in physics-based training systems, on-board tactical decision aids and large-scale simulation. Tasking may involve participation in specific programs such as Interactive Multisensor Analysis Training (IMAT) and Sensor Employment Training (SET). NSWC develops many of these systems in conjunction with the Navy Research and Development Center (NRaD) in San Diego. A five year IDIQ cost reimbursement type contract with an estimated 67,104 hours per year is contemplated. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued onor about 1 September 1997, with receipt of proposals due 45 days thereafter. All requests for the solicitation must be in writing.
