A -- DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIAL PURPOSE LAB PROCESSORS SOL N00167-97-R-0042 DUE 100497 POC Shawnee Shaw, Contract Specialist, Code 3324, (301) 227-3451/Contracting Officer, Renee Cairo-Iocco (301) 227-5812 The purpose of the proposed acquisition is to provide engineering, scientific and programmer support services to perform task assignments in support of a Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWC, CD) line of related products for the implementation of prototype Radar, Sonar and Optical systems. Implementation may also require computer system graphical user interface (GUI) design, curriculum development, and training. These projects will be directed toward Navy radar and sonar program goals in physics-based training systems, tactical decision aids and large-scale simulation. Tasking may involve participation in specific programs such as Interactive Multisensor Analysis Training (IMAT) and Sensor Employment Training (SET). NSWC develops many of these systems in conjunction with the Navy Research and Development Center (NRaD) in San Diego. A five year IDIQ cost reimbursement type contract with an estimated 72,192 labor hours per year is contemplated. This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside.
