Crizer, Contracting Officer, (410) 786-5167 The Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) intends to award on a sole source basis, under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures a firm fixed price award to Biotechnology and Environmental Services, Inc., 8401 Corporate Drive, Suite 270, New Carrollton, MD. 20785, for the following research and development services: Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) is currently conducting intramural research in order to provide Health Care Services researchers and provide components within HCFA with information on current and historic Medicare and Medicaid data trends. The analysis of this data requires computer-generated comparsions of current and historic data to identify aberrancies that must be resolved by staff before publication of HEALTH CARE FINANCING REVIEW -- -- MEDICARE AND MEDICAID STATISTICAL SUPPLEMENT. The comparsions require development or acquisition of software, and a full knowledge of the databases used to generate the tables. It is mandatory that the contractor have prior experience and knowledge of HCFA data and databases used in the Annual Statistical Supplement. The contractor must also be skilled in training in order to provide a two day training session for the agency staff on the use of the system/software that was used.
