Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) is hosting an Early Industry
Involvement Day for Contractors interested in the Developmental
Manufacturing and Modification Facility acquisition. Date: 29 July 97

A tour of the Government Modification Center will be included in the

275-4461 or Maria Smith (805) 275-4497 Description of acquisition: This
acquisition is to provide support for past, current and future DOD and
civil aerospace vehicles. A sample of the aircraft may include, but
not be limited to the T-38, C-12, C-130, C-135, C-17, C-18, F-15, F-16
and KC 10. The scope of this acquisition includes engineering,
fabrication and installation to provide developmental manufacturing and
modification of aircraft. Support will include labor and materials to
accomplish the following: 1) design studies and analysis for
aircraft/aerospace modification, 2) aircraft/aerospace
modification/demodification in accordance with Air Force and Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements, 3) design, develop, modify,
verify, validate and integrate instrumentation and test support
equipment and 4) design, develop, modify, verify, validate, integrate
and test software for data processing, data analysis and flight test
instrumentation. A Quality Assurance Program and an Integrated System
Safety Program will be required. Selected contractor(s) must have
direct, immediate control of qualified engineering, scientific
specialists and fabrication personnel as well as facilities to support
the requirements of this contract. Response time to Government
