Byron B. Brown Project consists of opening and developing a new pit,
crushing an estimated 13,633 cubic yards of gravel surfacing, loose
measure, hauling and stockpiling an estimated 6,400 cubic yards of
gravel surfacing at Woods Lake Campground (approximately two miles from
the pit), hauling, spreading and compacting an estimated 7,233 cubic
yards, loose measure, (5,425 cubic yards, compacted measure) of gravel
surfacing on FDR 618 and FDR 621, reconditioning approximately 3.8
miles of the driving surface of FDR 618 and FDR 621, placing cold mix
asphalt approach aprons and overlay on two bridges, and installing
information signs at the intersection of FDR 618 and FDR 621. Project
is located in San Miguel County, Colorado, T42N, R11W, Sections 10, 11,
14, 15, 22, and 23. Project access from Telluride, CO by proceeding
westerly approximately 12 miles along Colorado State Highway 145 to the
intersection with FDR 618, Fall Creek Road. Proceed south along FDR 618
approximately 5.5 miles to the forest boundary, and the beginning of
the project. Project extends 2.38 miles along FDR 618 and 1.37 miles
along FDR 621. Pit location is approximately 1.85 miles from the forest
boundary along FDR 618. Contract time is 60 days. Project estimate is
between S100,00 and S250,000. This solicitation is being reissued; the
original solicitation number was IFB R2-96-69. All responsible sources
