16 -- APACHE LONGBOW HELICOPTER HANDGRIPS SOL DAAJ09-97-R-0423 DUE 082997 POC Lisa Conley, Contracting Officer, 205-313-1055. The Government proposes to acquire 110 pairs of Longbow handgrips necessary to make the Target Acquisition Designation System/Pilot Night System (TADS/PNVS) compatible with the Model AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopter. The intended source is Mason Electric Company, San Fernando, CA, which is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the handgrips. The authority for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1. The mason Electric Company part numbers are 722-0405, left handgrip, and 722-0406, right handgrip. Delivery shall begin in July 1998 with five (5) pairs per month. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. See Numbered Note(s): 22. (0196)
