Kay, Contracting Officer This solicitation is reserved for small businesses FAR 52.219-6. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. N00604-97-Q-D822 applies and is issued as a Request for Proposal. This solicitation document & incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45 & Defense Acquisition Circular 91-10. The standard industrial code is 3669 and the business size standard is 750 employees. This requirement is for a firm fixed priced contract for one (1) line item spec covers the procurement of intercom headset . Item 0001 -- 200 ea, intercom headset, ph-2, cat 64437-035 dual-sided monaural earphones with dynamic microphone terminated with pj7 plug. Inspection & Acceptance shall be at destination. Standard practice for Commercial Packaging. The Government plans to award a single contract resulting from this solicitation." ; FAR 52.215-18 Facsimile Proposal; Offerors are required to complete & include a copy of the following provisions with their proposal: FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representation & Certifications-Commercial Items; DFARS 252.225-7006 Buy American Act-Trade Agreements- Balance of Payments Program Certificate. The Government intends to make a single award to the responsible contractor whose proposal is technically acceptable, in full compliance to all other requirements set forth in the solicitation and the lowest cost. In case of discrepancy between a unit price and an extended price, the unit price will be presumed to be correct, subject to correction in the same manner as any other mistake. The Government reserves the right to judge which proposals show the required capability and the right to eliminate from further consideration those proposal which are considered unacceptable and not capable of being made acceptable without major rewrite or revision. Quotation must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. (HST), 29 July 1997. See numbered Note 1. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
