J -- PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE, INSPECTION AND EMERGENCY REPAIR SERVICE SOL 263-96-D-0004 DUE 073197 POC Contact Marcia Goldman, Contract Specialist, (301) 496-2302 The government intends to negotiate with Perkin Elmer, Applied Biosystems Division, Foster City, California on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 as authorized by 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). The NIH intends to modify the existing Contract No. 263-96-D-0004 to incorporate additonal items udner the maintenance agreement. The period of performance shall commence on date of contract modification and continue through January 1997 with options renewable for four additional twelve month periods. The Contractor will continue to furnish all the necessary personnel, labor, special tools and equipment to provide preventative maintenance, inspection and emergency repair on Government-Owned applied Biosystems Equipment at the national Institutes of Health.
